We Are Young

(Purple Sweater, Urban Outfitters; Skirt, Macy's; Tights, Macy's; Necklace, Old Navy; Spiked bracelet, Forever 21; Desert Boots, Steve Madden; Earrings, Old Navy)
So basically, this is what happens when I have no idea what to wear. Luckily, it came together pretty nicely. I knew that I wanted to wear my desert boots (because...IM OBSESSED), but I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to pair them with. I woke up 15 minutes before I had to get to school, and just threw this together. The taupe color of the boots gets a little hard to work with, but bright colors look amazing with them! I was wearing my earrings when I woke up, so i decided to build the jewelry in my outfit off of them. I found this really old skirt in the back of my closet and thought it would go with this outfit because of how simple it is. The tights...well it was pretty cold out so I really just needed those!

P.S. So sorry about my awkward hair tie on my wrist, but it adds to the outfit, don't you think??

P.P.S Kidding!

The Sky's the Limit

(Red Chiffon blouse, Urban Outfitters; Blazer, Urban Outfitters; Jeans, Urban outfitters; Purse, Vintage; Earrings, Old Navy; Navy Blue Tank, American Eagle; Navy Shoes, Toms)
So I really prepped it up with this one. I love the way the gray of the blazer complemented the navy in the outfit. The pop of color from the red was also very needed. I always love when i have a pop of color in my outfits, they really enhance the look and make your complexion really bright. I can't forget to mention the purse I have with this look. I found it in a vintage shop for a very cheap price and I immediately fell in love. I think the purse does an amazing job pulling in the elements of each piece in the outfit.

Free Fallin'

(Trench Coat, Nasty Gal; Jeans, Urban Outfitters; Navy Blue Tank Top {not Visible}, American Eagle; Navy Shoes, Toms)

For me, this trench coat was all the outfit needed. I have seen countless trench coats in my life, but I had never seen anything like this coat. I am not going to lie, the buttoning on this coat is very confusing, but after you move past that, you will see how amazing the folded material looks. The beautiful sheer back is also a bonus! Chiffon  is very in style right now, but sometimes it can be difficult to wear. This coat incorporates the trend, in an easy effortless way. I was looking for the perfect trench, and I was lucky enough to stumble upon it! I paired this with navy toms (I know... kind of matchy matchy) and jeans to keep it simple. When I find statements pieces like this, I usually like to have them be the focus the first time I wear it, and for me, the best way to do that is keep it very simple!

Review: Jane by Design

There has been a lot of talk about the new ABC Family show Jane by Design. From what I've heard, people aren't loving it. But "people" aren't as into fashion as I am, and most likely some of you are. This show has every thing I look for in a TV show, great clothes/elements of fashion, comedy, an interesting story line, and a cute guy (kidding!..but not really)!

The elements of fashion in this show are pretty clear. The show is based on a fashion-obsessed teen who lands a job at a house of fashion. She has to learn to balance both her job there, and school. So far I am enjoying the fashion aspects of the show. The character Jane takes a ton of risks with her clothing, which I love! As I always say, you won't get anywhere in the world of fashion without a little risk. I am looking forward to the clothing and aspects of the fashion industry in the future episodes.

The show is also pretty funny, not Modern Family funny, but funny. Jane and her friend Billy aren't exactly in the "popular crowd" and that is the basis of a lot of the jokes. There is also a clear connection between Jane and Billy so I am very excited to see how that unravels.

Overall, I think fashion lovers, like ourselves, will genuinely like and look forward to this show. I can't wait to see what happens next week! Im expecting a ton of cute clothes and interesting elements of the fashion industry, do you agree?

Leave a comment if you have watched the show and liked it as much as I did! Or even if you hated it! I wanna hear other peoples opinions!

Holiday Sparkle

(Green Sweater, Old Navy; White Tank, American Eagle; Black Leggings, Forever 21; Brown Boots, Steve Madden; Dooney and Bourke Bag, Vintage; Stud Earrings, Old Navy)
This is what I wore on Christmas Day. I wanted to wear something very comfortable. Christmas is very busy for my family, but also low key (Christmas Eve is the "fancy" day for us). I think this is a cute everyday casual outfit. The brown in the vintage bag matches the boots perfectly (which I was very excited about). The light color of the brown compliments the army green color of the sweater.

Stroll in the Park

(Lace Top, Urban Outfitters; Tie Dyed Bustier, Urban Outfitters; Turquoise Ring, Boutique in Spain; Black Shorts, Urban Outfitters; Turquoise Necklace, Urban Outfitters; Black Flats, DSW)
Taken on a warm summer day at a local park. I liked the details in my outfit, and my sister felt like taking some model pics--so we went to a beautiful setting and took tons of pictures! I love the elements of color in this outfit and the detail that comes from the combination of the tie dye and lace.

Wind Blowing Through My Hair

(Pink Top, Forever 21; Jean Skirt, Old Navy; Necklace, Express; Brown Belt, Forever 21)
A very simple outfit. I have a very "girly" style, and I think that can be shown through the simplicity in the outfit. Though I did not get a full body shot, the shoes I paired with this outfit tied the whole look together.  I wore brown heeled oxford booties from Urban Outfitters, making the girly look cohesive
